TRIP FEES

Before August 20, 2016:  $1950 + airfare.

After August 20, 2016: $2295 + airfare.

RESERVATIONS, PAYMENTS, CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES.
Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of full payment per person by check or credit card with registration form before being processed.
Full Payment will be due by August 20th. Failure to make final payment on time may result in automatic cancellation of reservation and/or loss of any deposit. Changes to the original reservation will result in a $200 change fee per person per change. No changes are permitted within 90 days of departure.

Refund policies per person are:
Full payment minus 10% before August 20th
NO refunds after August 20th.

All cancellations must be received in writing!
**We strongly recommend the purchase of Travel Insurance.**

Payments: Rates shown reflect payments by check only.  Payments by Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express may incur an additional $60 to accommodate for credit card fees.

Refunds on land arrangements: Once the trip has commenced, no refund can be given for any unused portion of the trip.

Passports and Visas: Passengers must be in possession of a passport valid for at least 6 months after last date of intended travel. Additionally, all passengers are required to hold a valid visa wherever required. It is the passenger’s responsibility to check with the appropriate consulates as to the visa requirements and obtain proper travel documents before the trip. Visa fees are not included.  It is also the passenger’s responsibility to ensure that any and all names used when registering for the course matches that on the appropriate travel documents.
Foreign/Non-U.S. Passport holders: please check with your consulate regarding Visas or any restrictions

Air Transportation: Round-trip economy class airfare is NOT included.  It is the passenger’s responsibility to arrange for travel to designated departure airports listed on brochure.
Air schedules are subject to changes, delays, etc and M.E.I. cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by such changes and delays.  In the event an overnight stay is incurred, it is the responsibility of the passenger.

Any flights arranged and scheduled by M.E.I. for each trip are NOT refundable.   Those wishing to book their own flights, either directly or using their own flyer miles, need to notify M.E.I. in writing immediately at time of initial Registration.  Booking flights separately at a later date by M.E.I. may incur additional fees per person.

Flight Add-ons: On some tours add-on airfare from select USA cities may be offered. M.E.I. cannot guarantee the most direct routing and choice of domestic airline.

Hotels/Cruise Ships: Accommodations are on a “run-of-the-house” basis. M.E.I.reserves the right to substitute hotels of similar or better category due to unforeseen operational requirements. Single rooms cannot be guaranteed.

Meals: Only as specifically indicated in the itinerary (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch D=Dinner). Beverages are not included.

Airport taxes: Please be advised that many foreign airports impose embarkation or departure fees which are not included in the tour price and should be paid directly to the local authorities.

Itinerary and Domestic Transportation: Arrangements for the itineraries, domestic transportation and flights are solely at the discretion of the local land operators and are subject to change without notice.

Baggage: Each passenger is allowed one piece of checked luggage (suitcase) not to exceed 44 pounds as well as one carry-on. Carry-on must not exceed 18″x10″x8″.M.E.I. cannot be responsible for any lost or damaged luggage or liability from same.

Frequent Flyer Miles: M.E.I. is not involved in or responsible for crediting miles. You must follow the rules of the airline(s) and arrange with them directly.

Rates do not include: Passport and visa fees, foreign airport taxes and fees, U.S. departure taxes, excess baggage charges, baggage and personal insurance, gratuities, optional tours, beverages, other items and expenses of personal nature and any items not specifically mentioned in the itinerary or tour inclusions section. M.E.I. reserves the right to adjust tour prices in the event of unexpected increase in airfares, government taxes and fees, fuel surcharges, entrance and park fees as well as currency fluctuations.

Up to 4 Family members are welcome to accompany each passenger, and may also attend classes.  Price and rules for reservations/tours will remain the same, even if accompanying family member does not partake in any courses.  At this time, pets and service animals may not accompany passengers due to potential restrictions at each destination country, hotel, destination points of interest and/or for return to U.S.  Exceptions may be granted at the discretion of M.E.I.

Consumer Disclosure and Responsibility: M.E.I., Inc., may act as agent for the Travel companies represented and as a consequence, accepts no responsibility for accidents, damage, baggage losses and/or delays due to strikes, weather, acts of God, acts of governments or authorities, wars, criminal acts committed by third parties, hostilities, civil disturbances, riots, pilferage, defects of vehicles or breakdown in equipment, or to the fault or default of any company used for carrying out these tours. Nor shall M.E.I.be liable for any damage resulting directly or indirectly from delays, cancellation or changes in flights. In the event it becomes necessary or advisable, for the comfort or well being of the passengers, or for any reason whatsoever, to alter the itinerary or arrangements, such alterations may be made without penalty to the Tour Operator. Additional expenses shall be borne by the passengers. No refund can be made for the absence from parts of the tour. The right is also reserved by the Tour Operator, at its absolute discretion, to refuse or cancel any person at any time, without being under obligation to assign a reason therefore. In the event of exercise of this right, the Tour Operator shall be under no liability to that person whatsoever. The airlines, rail and ship companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any acts, omissions, or events during the time passengers are not aboard their aircraft and/or vessels. The passage contract in use by the companies concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the company and the purchase of these tours, and/or the passengers. M.E.I.reserves the right to cancel any tour, for any reason, prior to departure and cannot be held responsible for any damages resulting from said cancellation. In case of such tour cancellation by M.E.I., a full refund of the monies paid to M.E.I.will be offered.  There is no additional liability.   Any disputes arising out of any part of these tours or offerings through M.E.I. will be resolved by binding arbitration according to the current rules of the American Arbitration Association. The airlines concerned shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or irregularities which may be occasioned by reason of defect or through the act or omissions of any person or company performing or rendering the services other than carriage by air, as described in the tour brochure. By utilizing the services of the suppliers, you agree that M.E.I.shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident or delay incurred by you or those traveling with you in connection with any accommodations, transportation or any other services resulting directly or indirectly from any acts or default of the suppliers or from any occurrence or conditions beyond the control of M.E.I., including the defects of vehicles or breakdown in equipment. Nor shall M.E.I.be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident or delay resulting directly or indirectly from delays, cancellation or changes in flights, itineraries, schedules or other services, strikes, theft, sickness, weather, quarantine, criminal acts committed by third parties, acts of declared or undeclared war, or other causes. The services described in the tour brochure, other than carriage by the outlined airlines, are furnished by independent contractors who are not servants of or joint venture or partners with the airlines concerned.
